Who the hell is Pickwick & Plum?

Well, as you might have guessed, we are a lean mean team of exquisite junk collectors. Represented generally by yours truly, Shelly Caldwell, her cat Hamilton and dog, Remy. Pickwick & Plum is an outgrowth of the burgeoning mess in my art studio, and a general desire to start a business I could be very passionate about. I’m passionate about my first line of work (web development) too – but it’s art, craft and collecting that really gets my heart racing.

Up to this point I’ve been a solitary magpie, hording lost bobbles and odd flotsom, with the honest intention of (someday) using what I picked up or purchased. But alas, I began to realize there’s more intentions than there is time. And I was addicted to the chase – the finding, the sorting, the cleaning, the categorizing! I needed to either come to terms with my strange compulsion of amassing great stocks of weird what-nots – OR – avoid any sort of self analysis, justify my habit, paint it in the best possible light AND at the same time, get others hooked right along with me. The more the merrier and all that…

I’ve had a couple of years of wearing this new mantle and I must say – it suits me. My name is Shelly Caldwell and I am a junkaholic.
